Instagram Tests Multi-Account Support for Android App

Instagram appears to be testing multiple account support with select users of its Android application.

Android Police reported that some users with version 7.12.0 of the Instagram Android app—which is available via APK Mirror or Instagram for Android Beta Testers–are seeing an “add account” option below “clear search history.”

According to Android Police, those users are then given the option to select another account or create one, after which they gain access to a selector next to the account nickname atop their profile pages, enabling them to seamlessly switch from account to account.

There have not been any reports of a similar test for iOS.
